World's Tallest Living Steer!

Beef is a 2017 holstein steer that measured in at 6'5" tall and weighing 2500lbs in December 2023! He currently holds the guiness world record for tallest steer alive.

He has since grown and currently stands at 6'6" tall, unofficially.

Tallest living steer

Born on a Lethbridge dairy August 31 2017, Beef has been part of our family from the beginning. At the age of 18mo we started his driving training! By 2 years old we started under saddle. He took to riding very well and loved to explore. However, it didn't take long before he outgrew all of the riding gear, and was retired as a very large pasture ornament.

In 2023 we applied for the title of Tallest Living Steer. In June 2024 Beef took the title! Beef now lounges around with his best buddy Mare and graciously accepts any visitors that come to see him, especially with snacks !
